Derek Robbie
Third-Generation Modified Racing.
Derek Robbie didn’t choose racing. Racing chose him.
Nicknamed “The Accelerator” from the moment he learned to walk, Derek’s need for speed has been hardwired since birth. But unlike drivers who simply show up and turn left, Derek represents the complete package.
- He’s a wheelman who understands chassis dynamics.
- A marketer who knows how to activate sponsors.
- A professional who bridges the gap between grassroots grit and big-league presentation.
Growing up trackside while his father Doug wrenched on NASCAR Whelen Modified Series cars for New England legends like Pasteryak, Meservey, Baldwin, and Tomaino, Derek absorbed Modified racing culture before he could spell it. By age 8, he was behind the wheel of a Quarter Midget at Little T Speedway. By his early twenties, he was a champion.
Today, he’s one of New England’s most promising tour-type Modified talents. And one of its smartest marketing minds.

Family Team, Real Roots
DDR Motorsports isn't a hired ride. It's Doug and Derek Robbie building something together - a father passing down two decades of Modified racing knowledge to his son.
Living the Sport Full-Time
Derek doesn't park the #27 and walk away after race season. From winter chassis prep to summer competition to off-season sponsor commitments, Modified racing demands year-round attention.
